February 2008 - Statement from the Tom Hurndall Foundation


On behalf of Tom's family and on behalf of the Trustees of The Tom Hurndall Foundation, we would like to express sincere thanks for the generous considerate and continued support that we have received since the shooting of Tom. The main aims and objectives for which The Foundation was set up have been successfully achieved as far as the Trustees have been able to progress them.

Therefore the Trustees have brought The Foundation to a close, donating remaining funds to organisations with similar aims and objectives. The generous support given over the years has not only supported Tom's family in bringing Tom home, but has also been instrumental in achieving justice for Tom through the unprecedented conviction of a soldier for killing a civilian.

The awareness that has been raised during the course of the Foundation's campaign will continue, for years to come, to highlight the plight of other civilians in the Occupied Territories.'
